Common Questions

Is the first consultation really free?

Most initial consultations for medical weight loss, hormone and testosterone therapy and direct primary care are offered at no cost so you can meet the provider, review your goals and understand pricing and next steps. Any required labs, imaging or medications are billed separately. Final pricing policies may vary and will be clearly explained during scheduling.

How effective is your medical weight loss program?

Effectiveness depends on your starting weight, medical conditions and consistency with the plan. Many patients lose several pounds of fat per month on medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide when combined with nutrition and lifestyle changes. We focus on sustainable fat loss, not extreme crash diets, and track your progress with InBody body composition scans.

How long will I need to stay on weight loss medications?

Some patients use medications for a few months to kickstart their journey; others benefit from longer-term support. We regularly reassess your dose, side effects and goals every 2–4 weeks and create a plan for eventually tapering or maintaining as appropriate. The timeline is individualized, not one-size-fits-all.

Are there side effects with semaglutide, tirzepatide, or hormone therapy?

All medications carry potential risks and side effects. GLP-1 weight loss medications can cause nausea, reflux, constipation or changes in appetite, especially when doses are increased too quickly. Hormone therapy can affect blood counts, cholesterol, estrogen balance and prostate markers in men. We discuss risks thoroughly before starting, monitor labs and adjust or pause treatment if needed.

Do you offer telemedicine for Florida residents?

Yes. We provide secure telemedicine visits for medical weight loss, hormone and testosterone therapy and direct primary care across the state of Florida when clinically appropriate. Some visits, procedures and assessments still require in-office appointments in Ocala, and your provider will advise you when an in-person visit is necessary.

Is direct primary care an insurance plan?

No. Direct primary care is a membership model for primary care services. Your monthly fee covers visits, communication and many basic services within our clinic, but it is not health insurance. We strongly recommend that members maintain a separate health insurance plan for hospitalizations, emergencies, surgeries, specialists and other major medical expenses.

Can I use my insurance for visits, labs, or medications?

In a direct primary care model, visits are typically not billed to insurance; your membership fee covers your routine care with us. Depending on your plan, you may still be able to use insurance for outside labs, imaging, specialist visits or medications. We will help you understand your options and provide transparent cash pricing whenever possible.

How much do IV therapy and body contouring cost?

IV therapy sessions are generally around $150 per infusion, with discounts for packages and certain membership levels. Body contouring pricing depends on the number of areas and sessions needed; most people require 3–6 sessions for best results. We will provide a customized quote during your consultation and review any available financing or payment options.

Who is not a good candidate for these services?

Certain conditions may limit or change your eligibility. For example, a history of pancreatitis or certain endocrine tumors may affect GLP-1 medication use; some heart, liver or kidney conditions may limit IV therapy; and hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Our providers always review your history and labs first and will recommend alternatives if a service is not safe for you.
